Winslow has a keen eye for photographs, wheather he is sharing the work of others on his blog Je Suis Perdu or shooting for a personal project, he always has a very distinct way of representing the world. His photographs have a timeless feel and his technique compliments that feeling in the most beautiful ways. I recently took some time to ask him some questions about photography, the internet, influences, and photobooks! Enjoy!

What got you into Photography?

I was 20 years old and not doing much, i needed a focus. A couple of buddies picked up some decent SLR's,  I started messing around with them and it wasn't long before i bought one of my own. About a year later I inherited a lovely canon f1 from my grandfather and shot my first roll of film, after that i was hooked. Now it seem's like if i'm not at work, i'm taking pictures or working on them and i'm very happy with that.

It's premise sounds interesting, 11 undergraduates from Leeds College of Art have set up the gallery space in a basement, a more and more frequent practise in Leeds this year and they are showcasing a range of photography practises. Initially drawn in by Christopher Nunn’s touching project “Falling into the Day” which looks at the onset of Alzheimer’s and its progress on his friend and fellow artist David, Nunn’s ability to show to the viewer an intimate portrait that truly represents his subject, whether it be David or for a commission, is something to behold.
